English: 12U Equivalency

We’re launching a FREE course to help you reach degree studies at Seneca.

If you are thinking about or have applied to a degree at Seneca, but don’t meet the high school English requirements you now have the opportunity to upgrade your skills in our free 14-week course.

Upon successful completion of this course with a minimum grade of 65% you will meet Seneca’s English (grade 12U) degree requirement. Note that some degrees may have additional admission requirements that also need to be satisfied or met. 

This course is equivalent to the Ontario curriculum's English: Grade 12 (ENG4U) course. Successful completion of this course is not applicable to satisfy admission requirements to programs outside of Seneca. 

To apply to this course you will need to email narda.abello@senecapolytechnic.ca to book an assessment to test your writing and reading skills. Upon successful completion of the assessment you will be registered into the English: 12U Equivalency course.

The English: 12 Equivalency course is tuition free.

This course runs for 14 weeks (plus a break for Study Week). Classes are scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. on Thursdays allowing you the flexibility to work and study at the same time.
