Seneca Program: Child & Youth Care, Early Childhood Education
Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Education, Education
Applicants may be eligible to transfer is into the elementary stream of education, granting students a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Teacher’s College (all-in-one) after completion. Successful candidates will obtain their OCT afterward, and all teaching placements can be completed in Ontario typically with the students’ chosen school boards.
Graduates of this program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 (65 per cent) are eligible to complete the specified degree in two additional years of study at Niagara University (NU). A grade of “C” or higher must be obtained in Seneca coursework. Admitted transfer students will receive up to 60 hours of credit transfer (two years).

Seneca graduates with an overall GPA of “B” or higher are eligible to apply and will be exempt from the need to complete the required 18 hours of prerequisite coursework (500-level courses). Any student with a GPA below 3.30 (B+) will be required to complete the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) exam. Students who graduate from Seneca with an overall GPA of 3.30 (B+) or higher are not required to take the GMAT. A minimum of two years of related work experience, including any co-op experience is a required component of the program. Students with less than two years of related work experience must meet this requirement before the completion of the program at Niagara University (NU). As part of the application, students will be required to submit a resumé/CV, personal statement and two letters of recommendation. The Master of Science in Finance is offered at NU’s Ontario campus located in Vaughan. The MBA program is offered at both NU’s Vaughan Campus and at Seneca’s Newnham Campus.

Seneca graduates with an overall GPA of “B” or higher are eligible to apply and will be exempt from completing the required 12 hours of prerequisite coursework. Any student with a GPA below 3.30 (B+) will be required to complete the Graduate Records Examination (GRE). Students who graduate from Seneca with an overall GPA of 3.30 (B+) or higher are not required to take the GRE. As part the application, students will be required to submit a resumé/CV, personal statement and two letters of recommendation. This program is offered at NU’s Ontario campus located in Vaughan and at Seneca’s Newnham Campus in North York, Ont.
